Xaxim Week 12 Transfers

Hey everyone, I don´t have a lot of time right now. I was transfered to the middle of nowhere! 😜
Right now I am in União Da Vitória on the border between Paraná, and Santa Catarina which are two states here in Brazil. I am here with Elder Fernandes from São Paulo. He has about 5 months on the mission. Anyway I am happy, and ready to work in my new area.

Thanks for the support

Xaxim Week 11

This week we have had a lot of miracles. We are teaching some families that are making progress, and we are helping the people we are teaching. They are really making progress and we were able to mark some baptismal dates with them. We are excited to help them come unto Christ.

Also this week I gained a testimony about blessings of comfort. I was really feeling stressed this week, and unmotivated. On Sunday Elder Pereira offered to give me a blessing, and so I accepted. It really helped me. At the end of the day I was feeling much better, and I am feeling much better. I am ready to tackle another week of missionary life.

I really know that God loves his children, and helps them them come unto him. I know that he has a plan for us, and if we work to live according to that plan even when there are hard times we will be happy.

Thank you all for the support, and have a good week

Xaxim Week 10

So this week was interesting. We are working with some people really good, but there isn´t anyone really close to baptism. We are working mainly with Valdemar (it´s been a while), Túlio (as well), Edmar and Simone (the golden family that I talked about last week), and Joel and Simone (Joel is dating Simone who is less active). With Valdemar, he is going through some problems with his divorce a year ago that is stressing him out. We visited with him with President Cuvelier this week, and we comforted him a little. We are trying to help him realize that he needs to be baptized now. With Túlio, we are visiting him almost everyday making short visits, and helping him out. With Edmar and Simone they are interested, but they can only go to church, every other Sunday. With Joel and Simone we are helping them understand, and get married.

Anyway, nothing really exciting happened this week, but we are working so that miracles can happen.

Thank you all for the support

Questions:

How are you feeling this week? I am feeling better. The problem that happened last P-day had to do with my hair. I tried to cut my hair, and the hair clippers started having problems, so I had to stop in the middle, and I spent hours trying to fix it. It ended up all well, because we are teaching someone who cuts hair so he cut mine to make it look better.

You look like a Brazilian! Do they wear their hair shorter? Yeah, they do this cut called a de-gra-de which is basically a degree by degree. They start generally between 0-1 clip size, and go until a 1-3 clip size while using scissors on top. With me because I had messed up, he used a 1/2 going until a 2, I think. I wouldn´t let them cut it this short, until I did that.
